This is ensured by the addition of pumice and perlite. The lava rock helps structure the roots and weighs them down so your bonsai doesn't become top heavy. Using the mix is ​​easy! Start by removing as much old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it sideways to loosen the plant. Run the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove every last bit. Also remove any dead leaves that are still on the plant with scissors. Now your plant is ready for the fresh bonsai soil. Add a small layer of bonsai soil to the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and slowly add bonsai soil to the sides to fill the pot. Make sure that the point where the roots touch the plant is just below the bonsai soil. Pat the bonsai mix lightly into the pot. Be sure to water the bonsai mix thoroughly after repotting to help the mix and roots grow better.
