Using the mix is easy! Start by removing as much old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it sideways to loosen the plant. Run the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove the last bits. Also remove any dead leaves still on the plant with scissors. Now your plant is ready for the fresh anthurium soil. Add a small layer of anthurium mix to the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and slowly fill the pot with anthurium soil, making sure that the point where the roots touch the plant is just below the anthurium soil. Lightly pat the anthurium mix into the pot. Make sure to water the anthurium mix well after repotting to help the mix and roots soak in better. Since anthuriums are epiphytic and tend to have larger roots, there is plenty of coconut shells and orchid bark to make room for them. Anthuriums are prone to rot, and the included activated carbon and perlite provide a combination of aeration and cleaning of the soil at all times. This greatly reduces the risk of root rot. The perfect anthurium mix!
